The annual Grand Traverse Race Series is a collection of competitions for the truly elite athlete, and its Triple Crown event combines the disciplines of skiing, biking, and running to create a grueling test of grit and determination that draws in competitors from around the world. Started in 1976, The Crested Butte Pearl Pass Tour remains one of the oldest mountain biking events in the world and takes bikers on a strenuous 39-mile trek up Pearl Pass’s nearly 13,000-foot elevation.
